Special Education
Bachelor of Science in Special Education: Cross-Categorical
Special Education: Cross-Categorical. The cross-categorical program begins in the fall of the sophomore year and proceeds in a sequential hierarchy of courses. A cumulative GPA of 2.7 is required for admission into the program. Students must earn a C or better in the following courses with an overall GPA of 3.0 in these three courses: The Field of Special Education; Characteristics of Students with Disabilities; Technology for the Special Educator. Students must pass a speech, language, and hearing screening administered by the program faculty.
