This degree is a collaborative with the Department of Psychology housed within the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Special Education housed with the College of Education. The degree,based in research tradition, offers preparation for both graduate school and entry into the job market.

- Certification in Special Education
The Department offers three certification programs, Interrelated Special Education, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, and Learning Disabilities. Coursework is also available in the area of Intellectual Disabilities (mental retardation). |
The Teacher Certification Project (TCP), a partnership between Georgia Public Broadcasting's Educational Division, The Learning House, and AASU is a distance learning teacher preparation program in interrelated special education. The TCP initiative offers a unique approach to distance learning through integration of video, audio, CD-ROM, and internet-based technologies. Courses will be offered in a three semester cycle. For additional information contact the Department Secretary.
