GACE Basic Skills Assessment

GACE Basic Skills: All students (undergraduate and post-baccaluareate) applying for Admission to Candidacy since fall semester 2006 must pass all three sections of the GACE Basic Skills Assessment before being admitted.

To be recommended for a teaching certificate, students must complete the requirements for an approved teacher certification program on an approved program of study, must pass all three sections of GACE Basic Skills Assessment and GACE Content Area examinations in the certificate field, and must complete at Armstrong Atlantic State University a majority of the courses in each of the following areas: the professional sequence, the teaching field, and the related field.

Exam Description
GACE Basic Skills Assessment is a three-part exam which will test your basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills. As you register for the GACE, please use AASU's institution code (403), to ensure that your scores are sent to Armstrong Atlantic State University.
