that department's specific instructions.
Transcript
Evaluation Application Form
Please read this form carefully (pp.1-2).
There
is no fee for the transcript evaluation
process. Request official
transcripts in sealed envelopes to be
sent directly to you. Include the sealed
envelopes with the application form (p.3)
and mail to the address indicated or bring
these directly to the department office.
NOTE:
The Master of Arts in Teaching degree
(with initial certification) is not
available for: Art (P-12), Biology (6-12),
Chemistry (6-12), English (6-12), Health
& Physical Education (P-12), History
(6-12), Mathematics (6-12), Music (P-12),
Physics (6-12), Science (6-12), or Spanish
(P-12).
STEP
3: Apply for admission to the university's
School of Graduate Studies http://www.gs.armstrong.edu
You must be admitted to the School of
Graduate Studies before you can enroll
in courses in the College of Education.
STEP
4: After you receive your letter for provisional
admission into the School of Graduate
Studies, contact your assigned
faculty advisor
to make an appointment for advisement
and registration for the semester
of your entry. Ensure
that you activate your AASU student e-mail
account as that is the principal means
of communication between the College of
Education and students.
Regular
Admission to the School
of Graduate Studies
requires:
1. Earned baccalaureate
(or higher) degree from
a regionally accredited
college or university 2.Cumulative
GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
from a regionally accredited
college or university
3. Official transcripts
from all regionally accredited
colleges or universities
attended
4. Provisional Admission
to the School of Graduate
Studies in Armstrong Atlantic
State University
5. Admission to Candidacy
in the department of Middle
and Secondary Education
in the College of Education
(including passing scores
on GACE Basic Skills Assessment
Tests, or proof of exemption)
