The
department consists of nine full-time faculty members with
a variety of areas of expertise and research interest in middle
grades and secondary education.
The
Department of Middle Grades and Secondary Education offers
the following degree and non-degree programs of study:

Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education with initial
certification

Master of Education Degree:
The advanced master's degree is available for teachers
who hold Georgia T-4 certification in the related
certification field and wish to do advanced work in their
teaching field.

Savannah
State University Cooperative
Students may take some middle grades education
courses through AASU on the Savannah State University campus.

department are accredited by the Georgia
Professional Standards Commission (PSC). The College of
Education is accredited by the National
Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (NCATE).
