General Information
The Department of Early Childhood Education offers the bachelor of science and master of science degrees in early childhood education as well as teacher certification.
Special Programs
Library Science/Media. The library science/media program has two emphases: a basic
information skills courses and specialized skills courses designed to help students in specific
subject areas develop research skills; and a major and minor in library media designed to prepare
students for support positions in academic, public, and special libraries. Students wishing to
become school media specialists must complete a master’s degree program to be certified in the
state of Georgia. The library media program provides a solid foundation toward an advanced degree
in library media and information science.
Minors
Early Childhood Education. A student choosing to minor in Early Childhood Education is
required to complete the following courses with grades of C or better in each: CEUG 1010, ECUG
2000, ECUG 3040, ECUG 3050, ECUG 3060. Refer to Department of Early Childhood Education.
Library Media. A student choosing to minor in library media is required to complete the
following courses with grades of C or better in each: LMUG 3000, LMUG 3100, LMUG 3200,
LMUG 4100, LMUG 4200, LMUG 4250. |
